America has only 8 cases that are expected to be fine. Centers for Disease Control has stated that there is not enough of an outbreak to consider it an epidemic. What are they waiting for? Perhaps the CDC is not trying to relive the past.

Swine Flu, Past Dimensions: Something You Should Know

Swine flu, a look back at 1976. A Fort Dix army recruit, David Lewis, 19, died 24 hours after complaining to his drill instructor that he felt tired and weak with no indication that his weakness was severe enough for medical attention. Two weeks later, four other fellow soldiers were hospitalized for the same thing at the Army base in Burlington County, New Jersey. All four survived.

It was founded that 500 other soldiers fell victim to swine flu but did not fall ill in the manner that the others had. However many Americans were killed or seriously injured by the inoculation the government gave them to stave off the virus.

John Kent of President Avenue in Lawrence died in 1997 believing that the government shot had killed his first wife, Mary. Mary couldn't even tie a bow just days after having her government "inoculation" shot. An independent claim that would open up a new can of worms when it came to flu prevention. But you have to remember the time frame of this situation.

Gerald Ford was in office. He needed to influence the big drug manufacturers, and with the past fear of World War I replaying itself, Ford decided to immunize 220 million Americans in hopes that the swine flu would not spread. World War I was said to have had some soldiers come back with some form of a plague. A situation that Ford learned from, a moment that would gear his choice.

Swine flu would be born in name and was usually found in domestic pigs and the wild swine until time taught us well. A mix of human and bird strains had been added contributors.

11/11/2009LoriI heard the whole 75-76 swine flu shot thing turned out to be a scam. This, however, is the real deal. People have died. It's funny because my mom was thinking about having me get that shot in late '75. I am glad she didn't follow through on that decision!Mike Silverman
07/08/2009Journalist Files Charges Against WHO and UN for Bioterrorism and Intent to Commit Mass Murder.Austrian investigative journalist is warning the world that the greatest crime in the history of humanity is underway.Jane Burgermeister has recently filed criminal charges with the FBI againstthe World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and several of the highest ranking government corporate officials including President Obama, David deRoschild and David Rockefeller concerning bioterrorism and attempts to commit mass murder. She has also prepared an injunction against forced vaccination which is being filed in America. These actions follow her chargesfiled in April against Baxter AG and Avir Green Hills Biotechnology of Austria for producing contaminated bird flu vaccine. 05/01/2009Anti-government? I think it's fairly obvious to anybody paying attention that the American health establishment has been overrun by pharmaceutical corporations. As far back as '76? Apparently. They now force children to have some 36 mandatory 'one size fits all' vaccinations. Anyway, this "pandemic" isn't living up to the name, but that isn't stopping the public health people from pouring money into a vaccine and buying up more medicine. I think a lot of problems in this world come from people who feel they absolutely have to do something about everything.3lilangels

04/25/2009You make some excellent points. Sitting here in CA, just a short ride away from the Mexican border, I cannot help but wonder how rosy the picture really is. With borders that are virtually nonexisting, it is hard to believe that San Diego county is the only one with cases, as opposed to LA county. I have a feeling that there are tons of unreported cases. As to vaccinations, wow, that's quite a story. IMO, there are so many special interests embroiled in keeping their groups happy, it is hard to get the real story anymore.Writestuff444
04/25/2009I vaguely remember that outbreak, I'm a bit more concerned about this one. It seems odd, the combination of bird and swine and I think I need to do more reading on virus replication. Good informative article, I was thinking about finding an angle for the subject. Something local to tie in...John Smither
